Product Range

Grinding balls, rods & cylinders

Grinding Balls
The most widely used grinding media — high efficiency, versatile and available in every type, size and specification. Based on our extensive experience, technical knowledge and long-term partnerships with the world's largest certified manufacturers, we supply a complete range tailored to each customer's specific application and operating conditions.

Grinding Rods
We supply grinding rods to exact customer requirements — including material grade (high carbon steel or alloy steel for higher wear resistance), surface condition, straightness tolerance, mechanical properties, weight, hardness and length. Each specification is customised to ensure optimal performance for the customer's specific production requirements and operating conditions.

Grinding Cylinders
We offer both cast and bar-cut grinding cylinders in a wide range of sizes and technical specifications. These can be tailored to meet specific operational requirements, ensuring optimal grinding efficiency and consistent, high performance across different industrial applications.

Hot-Rolled

Diameter range20–125 mm
Options for Surface hardness58–65 HRC
Options for Volumetric hardness56–62 HRC

Manufactured by continuously hot-rolling steel billets, the grinding balls exhibit a homogeneous micro-structure, high surface hardness, and excellent resistance to breakage. They are designed for use in both wet and dry ball milling applications in mining, cement production, and mineral processing. Grinding balls chemical composition can be customised according to raw material properties and application requirements.

Forged

Diameter range60–160 mm
Options for Surface hardness58–65 HRC
Options for Volumetric hardness56–62 HRC
ProcessForged & open / press-die forged

We offer both standard forged grinding balls and open-die forged grinding media for specialised applications in the mining, cement, and mineral processing industries. Dimensions, chemical composition, and mechanical properties can be tailored to meet specific customer requirements and operating conditions.

Forged grinding media are characterised by high mechanical strength, excellent impact resistance, and a low breakage rate. Thanks to their dense and homogeneous internal structure, they provide extended service life and reliable performance even under severe operating conditions.

They are the preferred choice for primary and secondary grinding of ores and minerals, where high mill productivity, reduced grinding media consumption, and process reliability are of critical importance.

Cast High-Chrome Grinding Balls

Diameter range15–100 mm
Chrome content options10–30% Cr
Hardness with different possibility58–66 HRC

We provide a comprehensive range of grinding media for the mining, cement, steel, power generation, and aggregates industries. To meet diverse milling requirements, we offer cast and forged grinding balls in various material grades, including high-chromium, low-chromium, high-carbon, and low-carbon alloys.

Our high-chromium cast grinding balls are produced using a proprietary metal mould casting process that delivers a more refined and compact internal structure than traditional sand casting methods. This manufacturing approach, combined with carefully controlled heat treatment, results in enhanced hardness, superior wear resistance, and consistent product quality.

Designed for demanding grinding environments, these balls offer reduced consumption rates, longer operating life, and dependable performance throughout the milling process. Their excellent abrasion resistance makes them particularly suitable for secondary and fine grinding applications where durability and grinding efficiency are essential.

Ceramic Grinding Balls

Diameter range0,5–90 mm
MaterialAl₂O₃ / ZrO₂ ceramic
ApplicationFine & ultra-fine grinding

For alumina ceramic balls, sizes are typically available from 1 mm to 90 mm.

For zirconia ceramic balls, the range is usually 0.1 mm to 50 mm, with smaller diameters being more common due to their higher density and use in ultra-fine grinding.

Ceramic grinding balls are available in a wide range of sizes, typically from 0.5 mm to 90 mm, depending on the material and application. Common ceramic materials include alumina (Al₂O₃), zirconia (ZrO₂), and alumina-zirconia composites, each offering specific performance characteristics for different milling conditions.

Compared to conventional steel grinding media, ceramic balls provide significantly lower wear rates, reduced maintenance requirements, and longer operating life. They are widely used in mineral processing, ceramics, chemicals, paints, coatings, battery materials, and other industries requiring fine and ultra-fine grinding.

Grinding Rods

Typical diameters50–120 mm
Typical lengths2–6 m (custom on request)
Material optionsHigh-quality carbon & alloy steel grades
ApplicationsRod mills grinding

Grinding rods are manufactured from high-quality carbon and alloy steel grades, including 45#, 60Mn, 65Mn, 40Cr, and 42CrMo, selected for their excellent combination of strength, toughness, and wear resistance. Through controlled rolling and heat-treatment processes, the rods achieve uniform hardness and reliable performance, ensuring extended service life and reduced consumption in demanding grinding applications.

Rod lengths are typically manufactured to suit the specific requirements of each mill and can reach up to 6–7 metres in certain applications. This represents the standard size range commonly supplied by most manufacturers to the mining and mineral processing industries.

Grinding Cylinders / Cylpebs

DiameterØ 20–80 mm
Length20–100 mm
Material optionsHigh-/low-chromium cast iron, alloy steel (on request)

We supply a comprehensive range of grinding media designed to enhance milling efficiency, reduce wear rates, and optimize operational performance across mining, cement, and industrial processing applications. Grinding cylinders are high-performance cylindrical grinding media engineered to deliver stable and efficient grinding action in both coarse and intermediate milling stages. Their geometry provides a larger contact surface compared to conventional balls, improving grinding consistency and material breakage efficiency.
